About this tool

Premium tool — preview with sample data

The Race Strategy calculator plans the fuel load, number of pit stops, tyre compound and stint lengths for your next GPRO race. It uses track length, laps, weather, your car and driver data and the tyre supplier to estimate tyre wear and fuel consumption, then lists the strategies that finish the race fastest, including optional risky variants.

How it works

  1. Load the upcoming race; track, laps, weather and your synced car, driver and tyre supplier data are filled in.
  2. Set the race risks and boost laps you intend to use.
  3. Compare the suggested strategies (stops, fuel per stint, compound) and enter the chosen one in the GPRO race strategy screen.

Frequently asked questions

How many pit stops should I make in GPRO?
It depends on the track, the tyre compound, your tyre supplier and the weather. The calculator estimates the tyre wear and the fuel needed for every option and shows which number of stops is fastest.
What are the risky strategies?
Risky strategies assume the tyres will last slightly longer than calculated, so they use fewer stops. They can gain time but may end in a tyre failure, so use them with caution.
