About this tool

Premium tool — preview with sample data

The Wings Split calculator finds the best balance between front wing and rear wing for your GPRO car on any track. Splitting the wings correctly compensates for the difference between the calculated setup and your driver's talent and experience, and it is one of the most frequently asked GPRO setup questions.

How it works

  1. Enter or load your driver's talent, experience and the track characteristics.
  2. The calculator computes how far the front and rear wing should be split around the base wing value.
  3. Apply the split to the wing values from the Car Setup or Race Setup calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Why should the front and rear wing differ?
In GPRO the ideal front-to-rear wing difference depends on the driver's talent, the track and the weather. A correct split reduces lap times without changing the overall downforce level.
Is the wings split included in the other calculators?
Yes, the Car Setup, Race Setup and Complete Setup calculators already apply the split. This tool lets you check or tune it separately.
